| From Edmodo- - Quote :
- Hey, Henry and I are starting a study group specifically for AP Euro.
It'll involve meeting at least once a week, reviewing, doing discussion questions together, doing Perry together, FRQ/DBQ practice, maybe organized study games if I'm not too lazy, and anything else that might help us do better on the tests. A few people have expressed interest, but we need to know how many people would actually be able to come regularly, so if you really want to come and actually study, I'm starting a topic on the forum to see how many people are interested and when everyone is generally free. There are many ways we could do this. We could meet every other day for an hour. We could meet twice a week for two or three hours. Or we could meet once a week and study for hours on end... it all depends on everyone's schedules and what you guys would prefer. Post saying if you're interested, if you're busy on Sundays, if you'd prefer weekends over weekdays, etc. Also feel free to give suggestions as to what to do when we meet in order to be more productive.

| Anna, i think this is a gret idea. now that Cross Country has ended (*tear tear*) i have been getting out at the bell.. so weekdays will work better for me. Sundays i am very busy.. mostly with church and everything. weekends arent really going to work for me because those are like "family time."
i think this is a great way to study! im in! woo!

| So, after talking to some people, I've pretty much heard two things.
1. I'm super busy on weekdays because of school; we should have it on a weekend. 2. I'm super busy on weekends because of church/family/other; we should have it on a weekday.
:X
Everyone agrees on one thing, though. Nobody (or at least, no A.P. Euro student) has time to be meeting all of the time, and I agree with this. It would probably be better to have just one or two intense studies per week rather than spreading them out too thin.
Since some people can't do weekends and others can't do weekdays, I think it would be best to meet twice a week, once during a weekday and once during a weekend. People can come to both or just one, depending on how busy they are.
My Tuesdays and Fridays are booked, but if you guys wanna have somebody else do the study on one of those days, that's fine.
Sooo, possible weekday studies: Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday are options for me.
Possible weekend studies: Saturday anytime, or Sunday after 1:30-ish.
If you could all answer the poll picking one day from the week and one day from the weekend that would be best for you, that would be amazing. :DDDDD
WOOOO, long post, thanks if you actually read all of that.

| Our very first study will be Wednesday, after school (starting around 3), at my house.
By the way, what would you guys prefer we do for the first study? Go over the answers to the ETC questions? Review what we've learned in this unit? Quiz each other? Just sit quietly and work together and ask questions when we need help? Something else?

| I did talk to Henry about that. He said that he's had study groups at libraries before and agreed that it would work better at a house, because at a house, we can bring snacks, get comfortable, not have to worry about "whisper voices", play review games, and overall just have more freedom in general.
I can't remember if you were in academic pentathlon with us back in middle school, but I remember having study groups there, and the librarian kept coming over, looking at our papers to see if we were actually studying, and telling us to be quiet or she'd kick us out. and we were barely making any noise at all. >_>
